Mercedes-Benz Malaysia and P.UP Launch On-Demand Mobile EV Charging Service
- Exclusive subscription offering five monthly mobile charging sessions for Mercedes-EQ owners
- Three mobile charging vans in the Klang Valley, with the addition of Johor Bahru in early 2026 and full Peninsular Malaysia coverage by mid-2026.
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s collaboration with P.UP aims to enhance the electric vehicle ownership experience by delivering door-to-door fast charging for its EQ customers. Under the MB Platinum 5 plan, subscribers receive up to five mobile charging visits per month—each topping the battery to 80 percent state-of-charge—alongside a complimentary car hand wash, vacuum and tyre shine. Service fees and parking up to RM 5 per session are waived, and bookings can be made through the P.UP mobile app.
Edmin Naidoo, Vice President of Customer Services for Mercedes-Benz Malaysia & SEA II, said, “As we progress towards advancing electric mobility in Malaysia, we are committed to enhancing the overall ownership experience for our EV customers. The collaboration with P.UP exemplifies our vision to provide not just cutting-edge vehicles, but also comprehensive service solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
SM Fauzi Hj SM Shalahuddin, CEO of P.UP Nazamax Malaysia, added, “We are proud to introduce this groundbreaking service to Malaysians. The response from the Mercedes-Benz EQ customers has been overwhelmingly positive and we are eager to continue expanding our reach to other regions in the near future.”
Supporting Malaysia’s wider shift to greener transport, the MB Platinum 5 initiative complements Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s “Luxury of Choice” strategy, which offers internal combustion engine, plug-in hybrid and battery electric drivetrains. By addressing common charging challenges, the mobile service seeks to improve convenience and reliability for EV drivers across the country.
