International Construction Week & BuildXpo 2025 Set to Drive ASEAN’s Construction Future

  • Featuring 350 booths, aims to foster a sustainable and innovative construction industry in ASEAN
  • Will include an International Sourcing Program organised with MATRADE

The International Construction Week (ICW) and BuildXpo 2025 will take place from October 28 to 30, 2025, at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur. This event marks the 27th edition of ICW, hosted by the Ministry of Works Malaysia and the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia. It will focus on sustainability, innovation, and technological advancements in the construction sector, aligning with Malaysia’s ASEAN 2025 Chairmanship.

Azman bin Ibrahim, Secretary General of the Ministry of Works, emphasized the significance of ICW & BuildXpo 2025: 
“As Malaysia assumes the ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025, ICW & BuildXpo 2025 will showcase our leadership in driving a sustainable and innovative construction industry. This show stands as a testament to our collective efforts in addressing regional challenges within the construction landscape and its auxiliary sectors while unlocking new opportunities for growth.”

Ir. Hj. Yusuf Bin Hj Abd. Wahab, Chairman of CIDB Malaysia, highlighted the industry’s shift towards digital transformation and sustainability:
 “The construction industry is at a turning point—embracing digital transformation and sustainable practices is no longer optional but imperative. ICW & BuildXpo 2025 will unite industry leaders to explore cutting-edge solutions.”

ICW & BuildXpo 2025 will also feature industry conferences, roundtables, and forums addressing sustainability, digital transformation, and infrastructure development. Additionally, a Borneo Edition will be held from May 13 to 14, 2025. This special edition will spotlight Borneo’s construction sector, focusing on how mega projects in energy, township development, and infrastructure and public works are advancing economic, environmental and social sustainability in the region.
